I'm Going To Need a Bigger Shelf...

Latest additions:

I totally missed that they came out with another Fan Favorite collection until just recently.  I need to pay more attention.  With the addition of Shining Armor, that finally makes the first stallion in my collection - I'm hoping that means we'll see Big Mac sometime in the near future.  Also, going to watch for full-sized fillies, since they have Diamond Tiara (there in pic 2).  She needs a Silver Spoon.  I've seen the latter and Twist in the minis, as well as a lot of other awesome ones (Cake Family OMG~!)  but they haven't made it to the full 3-inch versions yet.

Letters To Home: Part 2

A third letter has arrived.

EXTRA  Week 2

Well...  days pas and life here starts to lit a lot more  ( I think he means get brighter. )  As you learn from your mistakes, you get stronger, and smarter.  I am happy now.  I can smile and laugh freely with my brother marines.  As we all grow, the drill instructors give us more freedoms.  It was fun to see the D.I. get mad, but it's their job.  They are not so different than us, they have lives and dreams, but they are stuck with us for three months until we all become marines.  They never sleep or eat or sh** or pee, literally!  I never see them doing their own thing, just pure drill on all the recruits.  I feel bad for them.

A guy passed out during a P.T. session.  I saw him fall like a puppet almost ten feet away!

Fking miss Emmis...

I may get dropped one more week, to see if I pass...  next time is going to be in phase three?...  It's a long time ahead, but still crucial for me to graduate.

I.S.T. stats:
Pull ups - 7
Crunches - 103
Run - 9:30

My I.S.T. score is very good in the overall standings, but I can't climb a rope!  I'll learn, I need to - just another challenge I must accomplish.  (I'm falling asleep >.> )  Anyhoo, a guy pee'd in his pants during b.d.r. (bed time) Just when all the recruits were standing to do a countdown.  At least he's not the only one, now.  XD

I can't wait to get a letter from you all.  I miss ya all so bad...  I am here, feeling a lot more alone than ever.  Never manage to get in conversations.  The life I had lived is too short, and is a totally different world.  Anyhoo, I'll be positive and try to meet someone that has my world likes, and possibly not more recruit training... SO BORING...

This was my first time with a dentist.  GAWD  The injection was scary, effing doctor pulled out a massive syringe and injected the lower part of my inner jaw.  The feeling was horrible!  It felt like my jaw was on fire, but then it was like an ant sting, 'til my whole jaw felt numb.  I can barely speak!!  I love talking.  >.-.<  Oh well...  The dentist said it will only last a couple hours so... I'll be patient until my jaw recovers.

Ballad - can you do me this favor?   Get me a copy of the San Diego Matrix training MCRD?  and some Avenged Sevenfold Lyrics, like Danger Line and others... and MLP:FIM Lyrics!!!  PLZ  I'll thank you a lot, you will make my life a lot more easy.  ( I have no idea what he's asking me for >.> )

I can't wait to get mail from you guys.  I want to know about Sibby, Flutters, Ballad and Colton.  Candice, NightWisp, Dreamsweet, Choco and Elzy, Kayzee and all the Loftians.

Week 3

I'm tired... At least I am resting on the seats in dental.  I'm waiting to be called, so they can pull my wisdom teeth.  I don't want to, but they need to be pulled.  It's all right, the quality of their works seems good.  Many got their teeth pulled or fixed and no one complained.

Yesterday I had bayonet training.  They made us train the tactics - stab some dummies, run on a field while slashing and ambushing targets.  Then, for one final test they opened a battle arena with the armor and pugil sticks.  You had to combine the knowledge you had with the new skills you have learned and use them against another recruit.  There's a judge that observes for the killing blow, then he stops it and yells "winner!"  and I won!!  A lower upper sting in the ribs and "DING" won the fight.  Then, today, more martial CQC (close quarters combat ) fight techniques.  This day, CQC was fun.  It was "grab and disable".  I still know my TKD skills.  I can still kick higher than my head, so some extra battle knowledge will be great.

I am known by my whole platoon now.  Everyone mentions or says ALVAREZ!  "keep it up, you okay? good job, ya did great" etc. etc.  Why?  'Cause all the drill instructors are on me.  It's fun, nevertheless.  I get I.T. every once in a while.  Been getting good at it.  It's not like they can kill me on doing something.  They can get me very tired and sore, that's about it.  I've been learning.  I don't get called by D.I.s as often, anymore, but I am known by my platoon now.  XD

Oh.. YEA!  There was an obstacle course again, but this time you had to run it TWICE.  I did not fail by running it twice, but climbing the rope...  you had to climb it all the way up.  I only climbed half of it, lost grip and slid all the way to the ground.  I landed safely, but I failed.  If I fail once more  :/

I miss you all...
"All is fair in love and war" = Sibby cmon!
I miss some love... >.-.>

I don't know what else to say...
My mouth/jaw feels "feeless" XD  All numb and stuff.

Boot camp is odd.  I like/despise it - like 'cause in a way it's better than home, and bad 'cause there is no one next to me.  I am alone with a lot of people around me.  Baahhh!  Just three months of training.  I'll come out with money and hopefully I'll find or build my haven.

Please send me letters.  I want to read my friends.

I'm mailing a reply this weekend.  Hopefully it doesn't live up to the reputation of the term "snail mail".

Letters To Home

Our friend Uriel (Losian on IRC) has finally made it into Marine training.  It's going to be an epic experience for him, no doubt.  I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say "We wish you the best".  So, my friends, we've gotten our first letters from him.  They're full of pony drawings!  Transcripts with each page cleaned up a bit  ( I understand his writing well enough to know what he means. )

Week "one"

Well... I am in the second week, Wednesday.  They barely give us time to do anything.  Just today they gave us recruits just an hour to do what we want.  Mostly everything you do is done by the drill instructors.  At least they give you all you need and more.  The gear is epic!  Much stuff happens, every day a new thing.  Sometimes, it's hard to keep up with stuff you are not familiar with.

Story time:  First day was horrible!  They made us wait for 6 more hours 'til they drove us to boot camp.  A lot of processing happened and they kept us awake for all of 42 hours.  So, plain drill and a lot of rules with medical and mental tests.  I failed in one...  The recruits had to pee in a bottle, but I could not hold it in the waiting line and I ended up peeing in my pants, but I stood tall and nothing happened.  Some yelling and drill and the drill instructors spit in your face... The chow is awesome!  You can eat as much as you want.

The platoons are very competitive.  I am in 1002 - there are like 20 or 30 platoons with at least 70 recruits in them.  One day my platoon fought another with yelling "AYE AYE SIR" the loudest.  We won 'cause we were 126!

And, WOW... They injected us with viruses.  The ones that got sick are kicked out.  I met stress the second day but it's fine, only lasted one day.  Take showers naked.  ( I'm guessing he was referring to having to take communal showers here.  Welcome to the military, brother. )  A lot of gear - I own my own M-16  can't say that XD.

They have to pull my wisdom teeth.

They divided the platoon to save the good ones.  I ended up in the good one.  Friday, black Friday was horrible drill - yelling, constant marching.

My time is up.  I love you, COFFEE BEAN!
Hello to Ballad, Dreamsweet, Flutters, Choco, and Elzy, Colton, Candice and others!!!

Love ya all!
Alvarez Uriel

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, to my surprise, a SECOND letter showed up!

Week "two"
Well ya all... I got sick, like VERY - a flu epidemic happened in the recruit base.  Like EW!  Almost everyone is sick.  I have had it for 6 days, so they sent me to the healing quarters with some others... GAWD there are so many in the waiting line, but I guess that's good since my instructor told our very sick group to bring our "knowledge" ( The Marine small book ).  So, I have pen and paper to write while I wait to be called.  Time to write the ones I love :P

I can't wait to get a letter from you all!

As I said, it has not been easy, but all the events are possible to complete.  Yesterday, I did an obstacle course.  I failed the first time by not being able to jump a bar.  I tried once more and passed the entire test!  But then, there is one extra test, optional (for now) but crucial for graduation - climb a rope...  I failed, horribly!  I had no idea how to bucking climb a rope but it's okay.  They're going to give classes on how to do it.  Hopefully, I am a fast learner.

Being sick sucks.  Being sick at boot camp sucks more XD.  And, they're going to pull my wisdom teeth this Monday.  I don't want peeps messing with my teeth :(  Oh well...

Can't wait 'til the drilling is done and they send my platoon up north to climb rocky mountains and traverse grasslands.  The first month is all about drill and P.T. (physical training).  My platoon has many tards.  For the mistake of a few, we all get punished.  What mistakes?  Simple things like not talking when the drill instructor tells us to do so, or not paying attention, or talking when our D.I. is talking.  Like... cereal-isly  XP

There was a fight out of stress between our brother recruits.  A guy got his eyebrow blown up by someone else.  Later he got like 6 or 7 stitches to fix it.   OH Guys... Try YouTubing I.T. Marine or I.T. Recruit training or insensetive training marine drill instructor.  There was this black platoon leader that got a seizure in the middle of the night and now he will stay nine months in boot camp.  Sucks for him...  But he is willing to stay the nine months.   For God's sake, I hope nothing crazy happens to me!  I don't want to stay longer XD

I already miss you folks...

Fluttershi!  Save and protect my account.  Give it to Ballad and/or Choco so they can update it too?  Just don't let it expire... plox? :X

And LOL... the graffiti in the bathrooms!!  All full of  I love you babe.  Almost there, I miss [censored] T55 almost out!  God, save us!  Don't worry it gets easy.  And so much other stuff.  It's like playing Dead Space or Doom and you see the walls full of despairing words.  It was a good view.  I'll draw a pony just for the buck of it, I'll do it NOW!  BRB... nvm... bathroom is full >.>  I'll do it one day XD.  I'll draw ya guys some sheds...  Hope ya like it, Ballad.

So... sketchy drawing from me, for you to keep.
Fluttershi, Sibby, Dreamsweet, Candice, Choco, Elzy, Colton, Nightwisp, Gigi... Miss ya all.  :I

(the drawings here)

Hope to get letters, soon!!
Love y'all
